Jamie-Lynn Sigler leaves 'Turtle'

December 23, 2009

Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has reportedly left Jerry Ferrara, her Entourage co-star who plays the character 'Turtle'.

The pair met on the set of the show earlier this year and their TV romance was repeated in real life.

But the New York Daily News reported the pair had parted ways.

"It came at a good time for Jamie-Lynn," a source said.

"She was coming home to New York for the holidays anyway, and she wanted to do her own thing for a little while and definitely be out of Hollywood."

To Brittany Murphy's 'Child-Like Spirit' Dakota Fanning Pays Tribute.

December 22, 2009

Dakota Fanning has paid tribute to Brittany Murphy, who died on Sunday at the age of 32.
The actress said the pair had become “great friends” after working together on the 2003 movie Uptown Girls.

“Brittany had such a warm child-like spirit that drew people to her. With her goes a piece of my heart and I will miss her terribly,” Fanning told E! Online.

“I know how strong Brittany's love was for her family and my heart goes out to all of them, especially her mother Sharon. I love you Brittany."

Murphy collapsed at home in Los Angeles and died in hospital on Sunday. An autopsy has so far failed to determine a cause of death.

Fanning's tribute comes shortly after Murphy's husband Simon Monkjack said his world had been “destroyed” by her sudden death.

Ashton Kutcher, who once dated the star, said the world had “lost a little piece of sunshine”.

Murphy's cause of death has been deferred pending the results of toxicology tests, which could take several weeks.

Biggest mistake has been been admitted by Sir Paul McCartney to marry with Heather Mills.

December 16, 2009

Paul McCartney is opening up about his failed marriage to Heather Mills — and calling it his biggest mistake.

When asked by Britain's Q magazine if the decision was one of the worst he'd made in the past decade, McCartney called it a "prime contender," reports the U.K.'s Daily Mail.

Sir McCartney, who has a 6-year-old daughter Beatrice with Mills, ended his six-year marriage to the ex-model with a very messy divorce in February of last year.

Mills, who famously poured a jug of water over the head of McCartney's head lawyer Fiona Shackleton, claimed during the divorce proceedings that the singer was stoned for most of their marriage.

Mills then shouted at Shackleton — who's known for keeping money in the hands of celebrities — "You're a b----! You're a traitor to your sex! How could you do this to another woman?"

In the end, Mills reportedly walked away with about $39 million, plus a little over $56,000 annually for their daughter, Beatrice.

Since the divorce, McCartney has moved on and is currently dating New Yorker Nancy Shevell.

When asked about retirement, the musician scoffed.

"I have too much fun," the 67-year-old said. "Why would I retire? Sit at home and watch telly? No thanks. I'd rather be out playing."

Meanwhile, Mills has opened a vegan restaurant called VBites in East Sussex, England.

legal guardianship of daughter has been losing by Courtney Love.

December 15, 2009

Courtney Love has lost legal guardianship of Frances Bean Cobain, her daughter with the late Kurt Cobain, according to reports.

Courtney Love has reportedly lost legal guardianship of Frances Bean Cobain, her daughter with the late Kurt Cobain. According to court documents obtained by E! Online, 17-year-old Frances has been put in the care of her grandmother, Wendy O'Connor, and aunt, Kimberly Dawn Cobain.

Love has not released an official statement on the ruling, but TMZ reports that her lawyer, Keith Fink, told the website: ""Courtney wants to say she loves her daughter and she's the most important thing in her life."

It remains unclear how or why this happened. The temporary guardianship was established on Friday, TMZ reported. Love was not present at the hearing. The new guardians are relatives of Frances's father, but allegedly do not have power over the trust established for Frances after the Nirvana frontman's death.

O'Connor previously took guardianship of her granddaughter in 2003, after Love overdosed on painkillers. It was almost two years before the singer regained custody of her daughter. "Life is about choices," she said in a statement in 2005. "And I've chosen to move forward with my life in a healthy and positive way."

The best way to get Love's (frequently unhinged) comments on a matter used to be by monitoring her Twitter account. Alas, that account was closed this autumn, after Love was sued for libel for calling a fashion designer a "nasty lying hosebag thief".

We must now rely on infrequent postings to the singer's Facebook group. At the time of writing, Love's last post was: "oh jesus, i once got an ex ex boyfriend or whatever you w ant to calthat creep a hooker and i guess it must have been thru this chick, I didnt do the getting: however. it was a bday present arent i just the libertine!" We are not sure what this means.

As a star of Sondheim show Catherine Zeta-Jones returns to Broadway.

December 13, 2009

Catherine Zeta-Jones is the hottest ticket in New York's theatreland on S
unday night as she makes her much anticipated Broadway debut after nearly 20 years away from the stage in Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music.

The 40-year-old Oscar-winning Welsh actress is starring as Desiree Armfeldt in a revival of Sondheim's 1973 classic musical.

Theatre critics traditionally sharpen their pencils when a Hollywood star takes to the stage. But the initial word from preview audiences was that Miss Zeta-Jones delivers an extremely strong performance.

"Outstanding", "dreamy" and "magnifico" were just some of the words used by preview goers in an overwhelmingly positive reaction on social networking sites. Tickets to see her in the show have been changing hands for £300 (£180) on eBay.
Zeta-Jones first trod the boards as a 12-year-old taking the lead in Annie at the Swansea Grand Theatre.

She later appeared in London's West End before leaving the stage to star first in television in The Darling Buds of May, and then a series of Hollywood films including The Mask of Zorro, Entrapment and Traffic.

She also won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Velma Kelly in the 2002 film version of Chicago.

In A Little Night Music she dons a fiery red wig to play a glamorous, veteran actress at a turning point in her career who is reunited with an old lover, now married to a much younger woman.

The British actress, Angela Lansbury, 84, a veteran of 13 Broadway shows, plays her worldly mother. Miss Lansbury said: "The opportunity to be in a musical for goodness sakes at this time is really fantastic."

Zeta-Jones, her husband Michael Douglas and their children Dylan, nine, and Carys, six, have moved from Bermuda to New York for the run.

After it is over she plans to take a role in a play and possibly perform a one-woman song and dance show.

From Grammys Miley Cyrus song yanked.

December 10, 2009

A song performed by Miley Cyrus as her hit character Hannah Montana has been yanked from the list of Grammy nominations only days after being listed, says People.com .

The pop singer's single The Climb featured in Hannah Montana: The Movie and was originally in the Grammy category of best song written for a soundtrack but is now being replaced.

The nomination will go to the entry with the next highest number of votes which is All Is Love, by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs from the movie Where The Wild Things Are.

The Climb was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, meaning 17-year-old Cyrus was never personally nominated.

People says a source from the Cyrus camp says the song was submitted in the category by mistake and withdrawn only a day later.

Representatives for the Grammys did not specify why The Climb was replaced.

The other nominees in the category are Decode (Twilight), Jai Ho (Slumdog Millionaire), Once In A Lifetime (Cadillac Records) and The Wrestler (The Wrestler).

Willie Maxine Perry,Tyler Perry's Mother,Dies.

December 09, 2009

Filmmaker has cited his mom as the inspiration for his Madea character.

Willie Maxine Perry, the inspiration behind one of the most iconic film characters of the past decade and the mother of Hollywood heavyweight Tyler Perry, has passed away. She was 64 years old.

Tyler Perry announced the news on his Web site Tuesday afternoon, in a message of very few words. "Willie Maxine Perry, February 12, 1945 to December 8, 2009," he wrote in a picture next to himself posing with her on the red carper at the "Madea's Family Reunion" premiere. "Thank you for all your prayers."

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Perry has said in the past that he based his most popular creation — a sassy, gun-toting, endearingly wise old lady named Madea — on his mother. The 40-year-old writer/director/producer has spent the last decade portraying the character in drag and inserting her into such plays and films as "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," "Madea Goes to Jail," the recent "I Can Do Bad All by Myself" and his hit TV show "House of Payne."

Tyler Perry has said in the past that he and his siblings were physically abused by their father, Emmett R. Perry Sr., and that his mother endured a great deal of that abuse as well.

According to the Journal-Constitution, Willie had been sick since last August. She was a preschool teacher who had worked at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center and was by all accounts a huge influence on Perry's upbringing and career.

In New York City Tiger Woods mistress lives it up.

December 08, 2009

December 08, 2009, (Sawf News) - Jaimee Grubbs, the 24-year-old cocktail waitress whose only claim to fame is a 31 month long affair with Tiger Woods, is living life large and being treated like an A-lister in New York City.

She was seated at a VIP table in the midst of Lauren Conrad and Leighton Meester on Saturday night at LA hot spot Playhouse for the Brent Bolthouse/Allison party, according to Page Six.

A source tells them:

"Jamie was dancing with five girlfriends and was seen roaming the area, where she engaged herself in flirty conversations with [wrestler] Michael "Mike" Mizanin and ["90210" hunk] Trevor Donovan until around 3 a.m."

If Radaronline.com is correct, Grubbs has a lot of money to spend, having earned $150,000 from the disclosures on her sex life with Woods.

Grubbs claims to have had sex 20 times with Woods before he ended their affair with a voice mail message on November 24 suggesting his wife, Elin Nordegren had become aware of it.
